finnwhale diving a by wolfgangpronai

The Finnwhale (Balaenoptera physalus ) is a relative of the Bluewhale and behind the blue the second largest mammel on earth. It may weigh up to 80 tons and feeds on small fish and krill. The fin whale was heavily hunted during the 20th century. As a result, it is an endangered species. Typical is his large breastfin, with which he seems to wave and clap on the surface. The fluke is a beautiful sight when submerging.
